Nano-based HabraCoat™
Family

HabraCoat
is XUREX's flagship family of Nano products for
anti-abrasion and corrosion protection.
It attaches
to all normal metal, glass and plastic substrates utilizing molecular-level
penetration and permanent interlocking molecular bonds within the substrate.
The level of porosity and availability of free ions in metals dictates
the depth of penetration of the coating into the substrate, regardless
of thickness.
Based upon
this criteria and through the use of XUREX proprietary PenetrAct™,
HabraCoat™ has successfully penetrated up to 50% into mild cold-rolled
steel, and up to 30% into other metals at various thicknesses.
HabraCoat™
offers a vastly superior and versatile nano solution to numerous non-nano
products that frequently break down when exposed to the elements. In areas
of high failure rates HabraCoat™ can be tailored for several specific
harsh environments including:
- Enhanced
corrosion resistance,
- Additional
hardness for high abrasive atmospheres,
- Extreme
high heat applications and
- Reduced
coefficient of friction.
Properties
of the HabraCoat Family of Products:
- Clear
(transparent) or pigmentable; tintable; Ultra high gloss formula available
- Extremely
hard and durable
- Exceptional
scratch and abrasion resistance
- High chemical
corrosion resistance - resists corrosion from Hydrofluoric,
- Hydrochloric,
and Sulfuric Acids in varied concentrations and temperatures.
- Operating
range up to 400 deg. F. Extreme heat formulations available.
- Application
temperature range: 40 degrees F. to 130 degrees F.
- Maximum
Ultra-Violet (UV) resistance
- Maximum
Weather Resistance
- Low VOC
emission ranging from 150-350 grams per liter (Volatile Organic Compounds)
- VC ranges
from 40 grams per liter to 340 grams per liter depending on formulation
specifications
- Maximum
protection against salt water, salt fog, sea spray and other environmental
corrosives
- Minimum
permeation rate (Total Vapor Barrier)
- No negative
impact on environment/ecology
