Our
Double Wall Day Tanks provide primary and secondary containment
in one space-saving integral unit. Eliminating space wasting
dike walls that may require confined space entry is a cost savings
idea. The Double Wall Tanks can easily be moved as a unit to different
plant locations with no additional special secondary containment
requirement. The containment moves with the tank!
This
system consists of a primary inner tank and secondary containment
tank, with a capacity of 120% of the inner tank exceeding
EPA standards and follows all secondary containment guidelines from
local, state and federal regulations.
Inner
tank dome overlaps the outer tank sidewall to prevent rain water,
snow and debris from entering the secondary containment. This
makes Double Wall Tanks a more cost effective solution for outdoor
storage of chemicals because of elimination of the cost of pumping
and the disposal of rain water. The construction cost of dike walls
and expensive lining systems is eliminated as well as maintenance
issues associated with polymer coatings.

The Double Wall Tanks in smaller sizes are ideal for day
tanks. Molded in pump shelves are ideal for installing
chemical pumps and metering equipment. This pump shelf recessed
in the top of the tanks to contain small chemical spills.
The
Double Wall Tanks in smaller sizes have a molded in sump in the
primary tank which is located directly below the pump shelf.
Suction lines can be lowered into the sump area which will allow
for maximum drainage of the chemical with top discharge assemblies.
Recessed lower fitting flat will allow fittings to penetrate through
the secondary containment wall and into the primary tanks' sump.
This feature allows full flooded suction for outlet assemblies.
The
Double Walled Tanks have a built in squirt shield. If a
rupture occurs in the sidewall of the primary tank, the secondary
wall prevents personal injuries from chemical spills or an environmental
spill.
An automatic
electronic leak detection system can be installed in the interstitial
space meeting all regulations. The leak detection can be
tied into a high level alarm and direct read out of the real time
capacity of the tank. |
